Noah Noble was at the meeting where bids were submitted, with one bid of $150,000 a year for five years. The city was expecting a bid of $125,000 for five years, so this was more than anticipated. The winners will be announced at a future city council meeting. Additionally, it is the 228 Day celebration in Biloxi, with special ticket packages and merchandise sales centered around the iconic 228 area code. The celebration includes game tickets, popcorn, and drinks priced at $2.28.

Two bids were submitted at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning for naming rights of the Biloxi Shuckers stadium downtown.
