SUMMARY: In preparation for the upcoming elections, officials are urging voters to ensure their votes are counted. They are encouraging people to vote either absentee or in person at their local circuit clerk offices. Voter turnout in the previous election was the lowest since 2007, so officials are making an effort to increase participation. The deadline to register to vote is October 9th, and as the general election approaches, there is a push to get people to participate not only in the gubernatorial race but also in other statewide and local races.

The campaign trail is heating up, and some are already casting ballots. Bill Snyder is live with the details.
