LifeShare launches new organ-shipping technology
SUMMARY: LifeShare, an organ-sharing nonprofit in Oklahoma, has introduced new technology to improve organ transportation. The LifeSafe Shipper, developed in collaboration with Max Q Research, replaces outdated shipping methods like Styrofoam boxes. Unlike traditional containers, the LifeSafe Shipper is sterilizable, designed to protect organs like livers and hearts while maintaining proper temperature for up to 48 hours. It also includes a GPS tracker and sensors to detect any tampering or temperature fluctuations. This innovation aims to speed up the organ transplant process and ultimately save more lives. The product is launching Saturday, with transplant centers already adopting the new technology.

Mother and daughters share eyewitness account of murder and survival days before killer’s execution
SUMMARY: In 2005, Oklahoma mother Amber Matthews, her two daughters, and a family friend were attacked by Wendell Grissom and Jesse Floyd. Grissom shot Matthews multiple times, killing her friend and nearly killing her daughters, who survived.
