Livingston development moves forward after heated discussion

1 arrested, 1 wanted for shoplifting at Byram Walmart
SUMMARY: Byram police arrested Shanequia Harvey and are searching for Deneshia Harvey, who allegedly shoplifted nearly $2,000 worth of items from Walmart. Alerted by employees on July 1, officers tracked the suspects' vehicle to a local fireworks stand. Shanequia was arrested with more than $1,900 of stolen goods, including lawn equipment and clothes. Deneshia, also known as “Lit Bit,” evaded capture. Both are linked to multiple shoplifting incidents in the area and have outstanding felony warrants. New leadership named for the Jackson City Council
SUMMARY: The Jackson City Council has new leadership with Councilwoman Virgi Lindsay of Ward 7 named president and Councilman Brian Grizzell of Ward 4 named vice president, starting July 2.
