Law Enforcement contract between DeKalb and Kemper County could be suspended

The Keer County Board of Supervisors and Sheriff Moore discussed this issue, noting that the town hasn’t contributed to the Keer Sheriff’s Department budget recently. If the board finalizes the contract termination, the town may establish its own law enforcement. However, Sheriff Moore assured that his office will not ignore calls from the town. If 911 is called and the town’s police cannot respond, the Sheriff’s Department will handle it. The board of aldermen in DeKalb is expected to vote on this matter at its meeting on Tuesday at 5:30.

East Union girls powerlifting continues streak of dominance
