Law enforcement across North MS raise awareness for breast cancer

SUMMARY: During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, many people work hard to bring awareness to the disease. WTV chief meteorologist Matt Laon walked in her shoes to raise awareness. Police departments, such as the AY Police Department and Water Valley Police Department, are also getting involved. The AY Police Department is showing their support by wearing pink uniforms and using pink handcuffs. In Water Valley, they are raising funds through a campaign called “Arrest The Cure,” where people are arrested and asked to donate for St. Jude’s Research Hospital. Overall, wearing pink and participating in community events can help bring awareness to breast cancer.

Several police departments are doing what they can to raise awareness to breast cancer during the month of October.
