The state is also finalizing its court system for handling CCID-related cases, which Hinds County currently manages. Further expansions and adjustments are anticipated.

The suspect, Theat Sims of Tupelo, is charged with shooting into a motor vehicle. Last Tuesday, someone fired shots from a Dodge Challenger while passing another car near the South Thomas Street exit, hitting a tire.

Another man is in custody after a vehicle was shot at in Tupelo.
