Laurel School District honors late Heidelberg mayor
SUMMARY: The Laurel School District honored the late David Taylor II during its convocation today. The community pledged support to the Taylor family and Heidelberg city, aiming to be their strength in this difficult time. Taylor’s funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow at Heidelberg High School gym at 11:00 a.m.

SUMMARY: Vicksburg fire officials report that all rail cars from the Thursday derailment at Malberry and Oak streets have been cleared, and rail traffic has resumed. A 50-year-old man sustained serious injuries during the incident and was transported to University Medical Center in Jackson.
