Landry calls on Biden to recognize natural gas as a ‘clean energy’ | Louisiana
SUMMARY: In June, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry convened Republican governors to address concerns over the Biden administration’s energy policies, which they believe negatively impact American households. He issued an executive order declaring natural gas as clean energy and urged Biden to remove regulations limiting its export. Landry criticized Biden’s energy policies, including the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline and halting oil and gas leases, claiming they have increased foreign energy reliance and costs. The governors argued that these regulations are costly to taxpayers and called for reforms to support diverse energy production and innovation.

Saturday 7am Tropical Update: Two areas of possible tropical development, no threat to Gulf
SUMMARY: As we move into midweek, Tropical Storm Nadine is dissipating and poses no local threat. There is one area being monitored for potential development, but it currently has a moderate chance and remains a non-issue for us. With about five weeks left in hurricane season, the dry air over the Gulf of Mexico provides reassurance against development. Upcoming weeks are expected to bring further improvements in conditions as we approach the official end of hurricane season at the end of November. Overall, the local outlook appears positive and free from significant storm concerns.
No impacts are expected for the Gulf Coast over the next week.
