A necklace with Lee’s name was found at the site. Authorities arrested Sheldon “Timothy” Herrington, Jr. shortly after Lee’s disappearance, accusing him of murder linked to their alleged romantic relationship. With Lee’s remains now identified, a retrial is expected, potentially complicating the defense’s claims of Herrington’s innocence. Lee’s parents had previously declared him legally dead.
