KSP arrest armed man accused of fighting state trooper, running away in Hardin County

Kentucky State Police reported that the suspect, armed with a gun, fought with a trooper and fled the scene, traveling more than 20 miles before crashing his vehicle near Glendale. After abandoning his car, he ran into a field, prompting a large-scale search. An active shooter alert was issued at the nearby Blue Oval Battery Plant, where employees were directed to stay inside. The man was ultimately arrested around 7 PM near South Dixie Highway and I-65. Further charges are pending.

Attorney General holds post-election inquiry drawing

The selected counties include Callaway, Davis, Jefferson, Jesson, Bole, Baron, Warren, Campbell, Metcalfe, Edmonson, Lincoln, and Trigg. Throughout the year, the office monitors potential election law violations via a hotline, which received over 700 messages, including nearly 350 on Election Day. Each inquiry is investigated seriously, emphasizing the stewardship of elected officials to ensure fair and secure elections. Findings from the investigations will be presented to a grand jury in the audited counties.

The Kentucky Attorney General’s office held a drawing on Wednesday randomly selecting 12 counties to go through a post-election day inquiry.
