The tenant, who was facing eviction, was last seen before the fire, and detectives are now trying to locate him. The cause of death and identity of the remains are still under investigation by authorities.

SUMMARY: In San Antonio, 23 families celebrated the dedication of their new homes built by Habitat for Humanity, supported by hundreds of volunteers. One family, led by Melody Martinez, expressed gratitude as they moved into their home after three months of hard work, including a minimum of 300 hours of “sweat equity” and ownership classes. The houses, featuring three to four bedrooms and 0% interest financing, aim to provide stability for families. Melody highlighted the importance of community support, stating that building connections with neighbors is just as significant as having a new home.

Over 350 Habitat for Humanity volunteers spent their Saturdays scraping, digging, raking and landscaping 23 new homes for families in San Antonio.
