KLLM to unveil college football trucks at M-Braves game Thursday

SUMMARY: Mississippi-based company KLLM Transport Services will unveil tractor-trailers for the state’s football teams, including Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and Jackson State. This is the 14th year KLLM has provided equipment trucks to at least one of the state’s major programs. The trucks will be provided free of charge, with KLLM covering the costs of fuel and drivers throughout the year. Attendees will have the opportunity to take pictures inside and outside the trucks and interact with mascots and cheerleaders. Access to the trucks will be granted with tickets to a Mississippi Braves baseball game.

Cocaine-carrying elderly man kills one in hit and run rampage

SUMMARY: Elio Gonzalez Fombellida, 78, was arrested in Gulfport after striking a pedestrian who later died and collided with three vehicles. The incident occurred around 5:42 p.m. on Highway 49, where police discovered Fombellida in his car after he fled the scene of an earlier crash involving a UPS truck. He was apprehended without further incident. Authorities found cocaine in his possession, which he claimed belonged to a friend. Initially charged with leaving the scene of an accident and drug possession, Fombellida’s charges are expected to escalate following the pedestrian’s death. He is currently held on a $300,000 bond.
