A couple in South Jackson is stocking up on bottled water due to little water for basic necessities. The system is still recovering from the peak demand during last week’s ice storm. There have been 145 water main breaks and 16 new broken pipes reported. 12,000 customers in South and West Jackson are still under a boil water notice, with a delay in collecting samples for testing. Jackson Water is targeting notices to residents affected, and infrastructure repairs are necessary despite the inconvenience.
