SUMMARY: Jackson Water customers are at risk of losing water service if their bill is unpaid, with shutoffs starting this month for customers who are 90 days behind or more. Customers who are more than a month behind will receive a disconnect notice and 21 days to make a payment to avoid a shutoff. The new rate for customers will be about $76 for the average Jackson family. Currently, 60% of water customers are not paying their bill. Customers who do not receive a water bill should call the number on their screen to ensure they have an account.
