The water administrator, Ted Henifin, stated that only 56% of Jackson water customers are currently paying their bills. He emphasized the need for people to start paying their bills, as it is unfair to those who consistently pay, while 44% of their neighbors do not. Many residents have accumulated significant water bill debt, making it difficult for them to catch up. Henifin also mentioned that the money collected from water bills could be used to address the sewer issue in the area.
