Serial killer could be tied to Nashville cold case

Published

on

www.youtube.com – WKRN News 2 – 2024-11-21 18:22:34

SUMMARY: In 1979, 21-year-old Nashville mother Gail Norris was found murdered, stabbed multiple times. This cold case has remained unsolved for decades until recently, when Detective Weaver was contacted by her family, suggesting a possible connection to infamously convicted serial killer Samuel Little, who confessed to numerous murders. Despite the lack of direct evidence linking him to Gail’s case, the detective is revisiting the investigation, which had been dormant since 1979. A notable clue found near her body was an insurance pamphlet. The Nashville Cold Case website, launched last month, aims to gather information and potentially revive interest in solving this enduring mystery.

Anyone with information about the case should email mnpdcoldcase@nashville.gov.

www.youtube.com – WBIR Channel 10 – 2024-11-21 16:33:58

SUMMARY: Starting your car in cold weather often involves warming it up to clear ice from the windshield. However, experts from the US Department of Energy and other organizations suggest that this practice can harm engine longevity. Vehicles built after 1980 don’t require extensive warm-up periods; instead, it’s recommended to drive slowly for 30 seconds to a minute after starting the engine. When preparing your vehicle, scrape off ice and avoid excessive wet conditions to prevent damage to components like spark plugs. For more inquiries, you can reach out via text or email for verification.

Excessive idling can cause engine damage and experts agree that modern gas-powered engines don’t need to warm up to run effectively.
