Justice Department sues Brunswick over homeless shelter | Georgia
SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Justice filed a complaint against the city of Brunswick for attempting to close The Well, a homeless shelter operated by Southeastern Education Services, a religious ministry. The city cited increased crime but failed to acknowledge the shelter’s new security measures, which reduced police calls significantly. The Justice Department argues the city’s actions violate the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, protecting religious groups’ rights to use their land for charitable purposes. The department seeks a court order preventing the city from shutting down the shelter, emphasizing the protection of religious exercise under federal law.

Drone sightings probe: The truth is out there | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: Multiple states have reported mysterious drone sightings, prompting a closed-door briefing for lawmakers from intelligence officials. While the White House assures there’s no danger to the public, frustrations grow as Americans seek clarity on the situation. President-elect Donald Trump has expressed skepticism, suggesting the government is withholding information. Federal authorities believe the unidentified objects include legally operated drones, planes, and stars, though some drones have reportedly flown over military bases, which is illegal. Local and state leaders urge Congress to grant more authority to address drone issues effectively. The rapid advancement of drone technology complicates regulatory responses.
The drone mystery continues with more sightings reported in multiple states. But the White House insists there is no danger to the American public.
