Jury selected in retrial for Beth Ann White
SUMMARY: Beth Ann White is being retried for causing a crash in Hinds County, Mississippi that killed a mother and her six-month-old son in November 2021, leaving the mother’s two other children with life-threatening injuries. During her first trial, the jury could not reach a verdict due to questions about the right of way during the crash. White’s blood alcohol content was allegedly over three times the legal limit. She has been indicted on multiple DUI charges and has pleaded not guilty. The retrial began with jury selection, with more than a dozen witnesses expected to testify.
