SUMMARY: During the summer, fresh blueberries from our large patch are a staple snack, often enjoyed straight from the bush. SUMMARY: As summer reaches its midpoint, the is a time to celebrate with flags, remember our heritage, and enjoy food with loved ones. Initially, I considered writing about displays or the historic July 2, 1776, independence declaration. Instead, I focused on sharing food tips, a burger tip with chopped onions and peppers from Bess Robbins. For your meal, I recommend a Sour Cream Flag Cake and a Watermelon Feta Flag Salad, both featuring patriotic colors. The cake includes layers of strawberries and blueberries, while the salad combines arugula, watermelon, and feta, dressed with a lemony vinaigrette. Bon Appetit!
