Suspect shot after trying to hit Jackson police officer with car: MBI

SUMMARY: Agents from the Mississippi of Investigation (MBI) are looking into an officer-involved shooting in that occurred on September 8. According to Bailey Martin from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, responded to a call for service when a tried to hit an officer with a vehicle. The officer fired their weapon, injuring the suspect, who sustained non--threatening injuries. Fortunately, the officer was not seriously harmed. The MBI will share the investigation’s findings with the Mississippi ‘s Office upon completion.
