Judge orders Trump campaign to pause use of Isaac Hayes' 'Hold On, I'm Coming'
SUMMARY: The family of late soul icon Isaac Hayes is engaged in a federal court battle with Donald Trump’s campaign over the unauthorized use of Hayes’ song “Hold On, I’m Coming.” The song, performed by Sam and Dave, was played at a Trump rally, but a judge issued an injunction preventing its use, siding with Hayes’ family, who argued the campaign did not obtain proper licensing. Trump’s lawyer expressed gratitude for the decision, emphasizing the importance of artists’ rights. Other musicians like Beyoncé and Bruce Springsteen have complained about Trump using their music but have not pursued legal action.

The decision came after the estate of the late R&B artist and songwriter Isaac Hayes sought an emergency injunction to stop the Trump campaign from using the song at campaign events, alleging the campaign did not have approval.
