Judge dissolves injunction against Jacques’
SUMMARY: A Vicksburg nightclub closed for four months due to a legal battle can now reopen following a court ruling. The City of Vicksburg had filed a petition to declare the nightclub a public nuisance after two shooting incidents in the parking lot. The City’s legal department has filed a motion for reconsideration, but the Sunflower County judge ruled the preliminary injunction against the nightclub was void. Mayor George Flaggs, Jr., cited excessive gunfire, underage drinking, and fights at the location. The nightclub can now reopen at any time, despite the City’s ongoing legal efforts.
