JTRAN strike continues into second day

Tupelo's Braylen Williams ruled ineligible to compete in the 2024-2025 academic year

SUMMARY: Brillan Williams, a football player from High School, has been ruled ineligible by the MHSAA for the 2024-2025 school year after transferring from Nettleton High School. The MHSAA determined that Williams’ move was not a bona fide transfer, stating it was purely for athletic reasons and occurred outside the transfer window. Tupelo High made a case for his eligibility since summer, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Williams had previously played as a quarterback at Nettleton High for two years.
