SUMMARY: is the anniversary of Deputy Sheriff Glenn Randall Chancellor’s in 2001. He was killed in the line of duty at the age of 48 when his patrol cruiser was hit by a drunk driver. The driver was to prison, house arrest, and probation. Deputy Chancellor was responding to a call when his cruiser was struck head-on by the drunk driver on Route 537. He was a husband and father, leaving behind a grieving and friends. The Jones County Sheriff’s Department asks that we remember Deputy Chancellor, his loved ones, and the sacrifice he made while serving his community.

Walk to bring awareness to mental health issues staged Saturday in Hattiesburg

Leaf River provides safety funding
