Interview: MHP’s Sgt. Bryan McGee talks Fourth of July travel safety
SUMMARY: The 4th of July holiday is in full swing, with many people already traveling despite the holiday being on Thursday. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is also actively patrolling to ensure safety. Staff Sergeant Brian McGee from Troop F emphasized the importance of public safety, urging travelers to wear seat belts, avoid drinking and driving, and stay aware of their surroundings. This year, the focus is on achieving zero fatalities, with extra units patrolling. Additionally, a job fair will be held on July 13th from 10 to 12 at their New Albany substation.
