JCSD takes cases to federal level

SUMMARY: The Jones County Sheriff’s Department has recently taken a drug trafficking case to the federal level. Emily Blackmarr has the details on the and what the department is actively pursuing. They are working through Safe Neighborhood, a program to menaces off the streets of Jones County. Berlin, a spokesperson for the department, says that it is a lot easier and faster to have them prosecuted through the federal side due to the amount of arrests they have had.
