84-year-old Mississippi minister robbed, beaten with rifle after making wrong turn

SUMMARY: Willie Hamblen, an 84-year-old preacher from Mississippi, is recovering from injuries sustained after being robbed and beaten while waiting for a tow truck in Memphis. After making a wrong turn near the airport and getting stuck on railroad tracks, he was approached by two , one armed with an assault rifle, who demanded his belongings. They assaulted him, resulting in a concussion, broken ribs, and cuts. The robbers stole his phone, wallet, and car keys, totaling around $1,100. Grateful for the assistance he received afterward, Hamblen is thankful for his and the from his community as he aims to return to preaching soon.
