Jackson man arrested after almost hitting trooper conducting safety checkpoint
SUMMARY: On September 5, Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) arrested 35-year-old David White after he led troopers on a high-speed chase following a safety checkpoint on Medgar Evers Boulevard near Interstate 220. White, the driver of a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, refused to stop and nearly struck a trooper before the pursuit concluded on Yarbor Street in Jackson. He was taken to the Hinds County Detention Center, with charges pending. The incident is currently under investigation by MHP.

Canton police investigate three weekend shootings, including homicide

Missing Child Alert issued for two Jackson children

Aaron Lee Donley, 3, and Averie Ann Donley, 2, were last seen on September 17 around 3:30 p.m. in Hinds County, accompanied by Jennifer N.
