Forest Hill standout to play pro ball in Canada
SUMMARY: Keondre Montgomery, a standout from Forest Hill High School, is set to begin his professional basketball journey in Canada. Recognized as Mississippi’s top 2020 recruit, he signed with Mississippi State, where he learned valuable lessons about readiness from coach Ben Howland. After transferring to Alcorn State, Montgomery helped secure back-to-back SWAC titles, and he continued his success at Tougaloo. Meeting Grant Worsley this summer reignited his confidence, allowing him to grow both as a player and a person. Montgomery is excited about the opportunity ahead and feels prepared to take on the professional level.
Keondre Montgomery of Forest Hill fame is getting his chance to play pro basketball in Canada. The former Mississippi State, Alcorn State and Tougaloo guard says he feels prepared to play at the next level after all the twists and turns he’s gone through in college and what he’s learned along the way. Keondre leaves for Canada at the end of the month to be a part of the Newfoundland Rougues in Canada’s Basketball Super League.

ICC cuts ribbon on new softball and tennis complex
