SUMMARY: Severe weather is anticipated this weekend, particularly on Saturday, which has an enhanced risk of storms. Current conditions include fog in certain areas and light showers moving through, affecting visibility, especially over waterways. While some areas are experiencing breaks from rain, others, like Slidell, may see more showers soon. The larger weather system, originating in Texas, has weakened but still poses risks of damaging winds and tornadoes in parts of Mississippi and Louisiana. Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning is expected to bring severe weather with potential flooding and large hail. Alerts are in place for Saturday.

Scattered showers will be around throughout the day Friday. We have a greater threat for severe weather Saturday afternoon to early Sunday morning.
