Israel launches Lebanon ground operation | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: Israel is facing multiple threats as Yemen’s Houthi rebels announce plans to escalate military operations in response to recent events. Israeli air strikes targeted Gaza and Lebanon, following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, which U.S. officials deemed beneficial for regional stability. Israeli Defense Minister emphasized the need for troop sacrifice to ensure safety from rocket fire. The IDF has conducted successful strikes against Hezbollah and Hamas, hinting at potential actions against Iran. Despite U.S. calls for a ceasefire, Israel plans a limited ground operation focused on specific Hezbollah targets, differing from the extensive campaign of 2006.
Israel is countering threats from nearly every direction as troops have now entered Lebanon in what is expected to be a larger ground operation. FOX’s Mike Tobin has the latest.
