SUMMARY: Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah are escalating, impacting UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon. Israeli airstrikes targeted Central Beirut, resulting in over 20 deaths and numerous injuries, marking one of the bloodiest attacks in over a year. The UN peacekeepers reported injuries after explosions hit their headquarters, with the Israeli military admitting to gunfire in the vicinity but instructing peacekeepers to take cover. The region remains tense following Iran’s missile strike on Israel, while the Biden Administration is hopeful for a diplomatic ceasefire and emphasizes supporting Lebanon’s sovereignty amidst the ongoing conflict.

The United Nations was once again caught in the crossfire as Israeli forces launch an air raid on central Beirut. FOX’s Greg Palkot has the details.
