Investigation continues for Masonite death in Laurel
SUMMARY: A man named Cruz Lopez Calderon died after falling from a roof at the Masonite plant in Laurel. The incident occurred over the weekend, and Laurel police officers responded to the scene. The company released a statement expressing sadness and offering support to employees. The Department of Labor may be involved in the investigation. OSHA could potentially be investigating the accident as well. Chief Cox mentioned that foul play is not suspected in the incident. Counseling resources are being made available to employees, and OSHA has been reached out to for further information on the investigation.
