SUMMARY: The Natchez Trace Parkway offers more than just a scenic drive; there are numerous activities for families to enjoy. Amber Dearden, new to North Mississippi from Alaska, shared details about upcoming events. Activities start with a music group performance and include special programs like “Titans and Tupelo,” which discusses the Civil War battle’s history. Additionally, there’s a hands-on butterfly program for kids, birdwatching for beginners, and a Pioneer craft demonstration day. All events are free and open to the public, with most held indoors due to the heat. Visitors are encouraged to bring water if participating in outdoor activities.
