SUMMARY: The winners of the WTV Home Garden and Outdoor Expo student construction competition were celebrated with Kenneth Estes, president of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Northeast Mississippi. The first-place winners were Angel Gonzalez and Brandon from North Pontotoc Public School, receiving a $500 ICC construction scholarship and a DeWalt tool kit each. Second place went to Charlie Pew and Dev Patel, winning a DeWalt Bluetooth speaker. Third place winners Aiden McKen and Wizen Ramirez received DeWalt tool bags. The competition aimed to teach teamwork, skill development, and the ability to interpret and execute construction plans. The event was a success, with hopes to expand in the future.
