Ingalls awarded contract to modernize USS Zumwalt

SUMMARY: Ingalls Shipbuilding has received a $154.8m contract to modernize the USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000). The ship will undergo a period of modernization and will receive technology upgrades including integration of the Conventional Prompt Strike weapon system. This will ensure the USS Zumwalt remains one of the most technologically advanced ships in the US Navy. In January 2023, Ingalls was awarded a $10.5m contract for the modernization planning of Zumwalt-class guided missile destroyers. Over the last five years, HI has invested nearly $1bn in infrastructure and facilities at Ingalls.

Apple to pay $95 million to settle lawsuit accusing Siri of eavesdropping
