‘I was so scared:’ Woman considers suing Southaven Police after rough arrest

SUMMARY: A DeSoto County woman is considering suing the Southaven Police after she claims they used excessive force during her arrest. Shaquilla Williams said the incident, which was caught on camera by her 11-year-old daughter, was unjustifiable and left her confused. She was pulled out of her car and thrown to the ground by three officers. Although she had a dismissed ticket for a suspended license, the police claimed she had an outstanding arrest warrant. Williams was left with bruises and her daughter was traumatized by the incident. The Southaven Police say they will review the body camera footage of the arrest.
