ATLANTA – Peter Conlon was so close to Jimmy Carter that the former president once publicly called him “almost like a member of the Carter clan.”
Conlon, a legendary concert promoter and Live Nation’s Georgia chairman, was among the mourners at Carter’s funeral on Thursday.

Georgia senator arrested for trying to defy ban on entering House chamber

Kemp pitches expansion of state’s maternal health, Medicaid programs | Georgia
SUMMARY: Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is requesting an additional $2.98 million from the General Assembly to expand a perinatal home visit pilot program, potentially adding 25 more counties.
