Hyundai and Kia recall nearly 3.4 million vehicles due to fire risk and urge owners to park outdoors

SUMMARY: Hyundai and Kia are recalling nearly 3.4 million vehicles in the U.S. due to the risk of engine compartment fires. The anti-lock brake control module can leak fluid and cause an electrical short, leading to fires while the vehicles are parked or being driven. Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until repairs are done. The automakers will replace the anti-lock brake fuse at no cost. Hyundai reported 21 fires and Kia reported 10 fires in the affected vehicles. The recalls are being done to ensure the safety of customers, according to the companies.
