SUMMARY: A man named Anthony Scott McDill, 51, was arrested for repeatedly burglarizing a vacant house in Kawia County, belonging to an elderly relative of the caretakers. Sheriff’s deputies responding to a routine check heard glass breaking and witnessed McDill attempting to escape through a rear window. Upon confronting him, he broke multiple windows in a desperate attempt to evade capture. The deputies eventually apprehended him after surrounding the home. McDill faces charges of burglary and criminal damage as the inside showed signs of him trying to barricade himself. The Sheriff’s Office commended the deputies for their vigilance.

The footage shows a light gray SUV pulling up around 3:10 a.m., where a man exited and removed two signs from private property. Another candidate, Germaine Wri, mentioned he faced similar issues, losing many signs and spending significantly on replacements.
