Hurricane Milton Update 12 p.m. Oct. 9
SUMMARY: Hurricane Milton, currently a Category 4 storm with maximum winds of 145 mph, is on track to make landfall in Florida, impacting an area still recovering from Hurricane Helen. The storm could produce significant storm surges and winds exceeding 100 mph as it crosses Florida. Blustery to end the week in Central Alabama with frost likely to kick off the weekend
SUMMARY: Temperatures across Central Alabama will be in the 40s and 30s this morning, with highs reaching the mid-50s later. Winds will remain gusty, up to 30 mph. Friday and Saturday will be impact days due to cold and wind, with Friday’s wind chill in the 20s at daybreak and highs only in the 50s.
