Hurricane Milton makes landfall in Florida as dangerous Category 3 storm

Florida man's home damaged in Hurricane Milton: 'All hell let loose'

SUMMARY: A touched down around 6:30 PM, causing significant to homes in the area. Homeowner Gary described the terrifying moment, as he monitored reports of tornado warnings. After the TV flickered, he and his wife to the kitchen, where they witnessed the tornado descending. A loud bang followed, damaging their roof and walls with debris believed to be from a nearby Wells Fargo Bank. Gary nearly went outside to turn off a pool pump but was stopped by his wife moments before the storm hit, which they feel fortunate to have avoided. They are grateful to be safe despite the destruction.

FOX 35’s Stephanie Buffamonte is in Cocoa Beach where a tornado caused extensive damage at a man’s home. Hurricane Milton spawned more than 130 tornado warnings across Florida as the storm moved through.
