Governor Ron DeSantis has reported storm surge warnings across the state’s west coast, with significant impacts already felt, including at least 10 tornadoes in south-central Florida. President Biden urged residents to find shelter as evacuation opportunities close. Meteorologist Chris Hulan noted that Milton is currently about 50 miles from Sarasota and moving north-northeast at 15 mph.
