SUMMARY: Mandatory evacuations in Florida will begin tomorrow as Hurricane Milton approaches, expected to make landfall near Tampa Bay midweek. The area is still recovering from Hurricane Helen, which caused significant storm surge and wind damage. Milton is currently a Category 1 hurricane but could intensify to a Category 4, bringing 3 to 9 feet of storm surge. Authorities are ramping up debris removal efforts and preparing for potential rescues during the storm.
