HSFT Stop #17: Mantachie
SUMMARY: Last season, Mantachie High School’s football team, the Mustangs, had a learning experience with only three seniors. Senior cornerback Chanton Spigner noted the significant progress made since then. Quarterback Caleb Jones highlighted the team’s improved cohesion and his readiness to lead. Over the past four years, the Mustangs have consistently made the playoffs, fostering a passionate community. Senior players are motivated to continue this legacy, commemorating each playoff appearance with a helmet in the fieldhouse. Coaches hope to face the “problem” of running out of helmets for their wall. The Mustangs aim for a fifth straight playoff season, starting against Holly Springs.
