Hours long manhunt ends with successful capture at Harrison Co. cemetery
SUMMARY: Details continue to emerge following the tragic conclusion of a manhunt in Harrison County. Lauren Johansson, a 22-year-old USM student from Gulfport, was found dead in the back seat of her car two days after being reported missing in Hattiesburg. Her boyfriend, Bryson Rivers, who was previously out on bond for attacking her in December, was arrested following an extensive search. Multiple law enforcement agencies and tools, including drones and a helicopter, were deployed. Rivers was eventually apprehended through a coordinated effort involving undercover officers. The six-hour search ended with Rivers in custody at 11:30 PM.

LIVE: Police searching for suspects after vandalism of Wiggins church
SUMMARY: Good morning, and thank you for joining WX at midday. I'm Jamie Doris. Police in Wiggins are investigating vandalism and attempted arson at the Church of Latter-Day Saints over the weekend. Noah Noble reports live from the scene that someone broke into the church, smashed a glass door, and wrote obscenities and messages like “you don't belong here” on the walls. An attempted fire burnt itself out without causing further damage. The crime was discovered by church members on Sunday morning. The State Fire Marshal and Mississippi Bureau of Investigations are involved, and the case could be classified as a hate crime. Further details will be provided in the Evening News.

Seven local athletes with Fairley Track Club are headed to the USATF Junior Olympics! WXXV attended
