Horse Killed In Barn Fire
SUMMARY: A devastating fire broke out at the Bob Love Stables in Jackson, killing 12-14 horses. The barn, which has been around for 35 years, was passed down through generations and is well-known in the community. Many of the horses boarded or trained at the stables were part of the United States Trotting Association. The fire is believed to have started from someone burning trash, which quickly spread to the barn due to dry grass and hay. The estimated total loss is around $100,000. Despite the tragic loss, the community plans to rebuild and move forward.

Truck gets stuck under an overpass
SUMMARY: A truck became stuck under a bridge on I-20 westbound near Ellis Avenue around 2 PM, blocking the left lane for about two hours. MDOT crews have freed the trailer and are now inspecting the bridge for damage. The 18-wheeler was carrying an oversized load, causing it to hit the bridge at an angle, almost in an L shape. Traffic is slowly resuming, but MDOT estimates clearance within the next hour. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays in the area.
