Homeless advocate meets needs as temperatures drop
SUMMARY: Mack Turner is seeking support from churches and others to help the homeless and those in need in Tupelo, Mississippi. Turner, the founder of United Brothers and Sisters, has been distributing items such as blankets, sheet sets, hoodies, hats, and caps to protect the homeless from the cold. Local residents living on the streets and at shelters have expressed gratitude for the unexpected gifts, with one person saying it makes them feel better and happier. Turner will continue to distribute gloves, caps, and blankets at the Salvation Army and is asking for more help from the community.
