Holmes County deputies search for suspects in fatal trail ride shooting
SUMMARY: Holmes County Sheriff Willie March is seeking community assistance in solving a tragic triple homicide that occurred during a trail ride event on October 19. The shooting, which took place around midnight on Highway 17 North near Lexington, resulted in the deaths of 25-year-old Martel Gibson and 19-year-olds Shundra Chestnut and John Jenkins, while eight others were injured. Sheriff March has spoken to some victims who are currently hospitalized. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers for assistance.
